Anna my little hero!!
Tonight Anna and I were walking down the street to the school for her kinder-round up. As we were walking and talking and enjoying the sun, Anna screamed and came to a stop. I did not know why she did this and then she yelled SNAKE!! And then RATTLE SNAKE! And sure enough not two feet in front of us was a rattle snake at least two feet in length. It was quite scary!! Lucky for us it had just moved off of the side walk and onto the grass and was slithering away. We stayed very still until it was out of site. And I called Ira to have him call the wildlife animal control because the snake went into the brush on school property next to where kids were having soccer practice. I am so proud of Anna for remaining calm and for paying attention to her surroundings. I don't know if I would have seen the snake if not for her. And the fact that she knew that it was a rattle snake and that they are poisonous. She is my little hero!! I only wish that I would have thought to get a picture of it at the time. But when in the face of danger I guess that is not the most important thing to think about. Anna was so brave she did get scared but remained calm and did not even cry. I can't believe how calm and still she stayed, I did not even have to tell her to stay still. It was quite an experance!!!!

Pay it Forward!
Here's how it works! I'm having a GIVEAWAY! You have a chance to receive a gift from me at some point in time during the next year. What it will be and when it will arrive is a complete surprise! If you'd like to be a part of this awesome idea, you need to leave a comment on this post! The first 5 people to comment on this post will get something from me!! If you choose to participate, you need to post some sort of "Pay It Forward" idea on your blog as well. If you don't have a blog, this can easily be done on Facebook, MySpace, etc. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant; just a simple gift from the heart (it can be purchased, homemade, a simple act of kind service...ANYTHING!).
