Anna my little hero!!

Tonight Anna and I were walking down the street to the school for her kinder-round up.  As we were walking and talking and enjoying the sun, Anna screamed and came to a stop.  I did not know why she did this and then she yelled SNAKE!!  And then RATTLE SNAKE!  And sure enough not two feet in front of us was a rattle snake at least two feet in length.  It was quite scary!!  Lucky for us it had just moved off of the side walk and onto the grass and was slithering away.  We stayed very still until it was out of site.  And I called Ira to have him call the wildlife animal control because the snake went into the brush on school property next to where kids were having soccer practice.  I am so proud of Anna for remaining calm and for paying attention to her surroundings.  I don't know if I would have seen the snake if not for her.  And the fact that she knew that it was a rattle snake and that they are poisonous.  She is my little hero!!  I only wish that I would have thought to get a picture of it at the time.  But when in the face of danger I guess that is not the most important thing to think about.  Anna was so brave she did get scared but remained calm and did not even cry.  I can't believe how calm and still she stayed, I did not even have to tell her to stay still.  It was quite an experance!!!!

Pay it Forward!

Here's how it works! I'm having a GIVEAWAY! You have a chance to receive a gift from me at some point in time during the next year. What it will be and when it will arrive is a complete surprise! If you'd like to be a part of this awesome idea, you need to leave a comment on this post! The first 5 people to comment on this post will get something from me!! If you choose to participate, you need to post some sort of "Pay It Forward" idea on your blog as well. If you don't have a blog, this can easily be done on FacebookMySpace, etc. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant; just a simple gift from the heart (it can be purchased, homemade, a simple act of kind service...ANYTHING!).

Aubrey and Kaden had so much fun playing together, I could not even get them to look at me for the picture!
So this is what twins would be like :)
Aubrey likes to help take care of the babies, she is sharing her toys with them!!
Allie and Jagger just hanging out!!
I was at Amie's house and forgot a change of clothes for Allie so she had to borrow something from Jagger.  I just had to take her picture because I thought Ira would like that she was in blue and green, he is always trying to buy the girls boy clothes.  It is funny we will be at the store and he will show me something like a pj with a truck or dinosaur on it and say how about this.  I just laugh and say you don't have a son.

And we are here!!  We get to visit for a week before Ira comes to pick us up and then it is off to San Antonio!  Great Grandma is holding Allie for the first time.

Just to make sure that the kids were good while we waited for the plane I got then a fruit smoothie.  They thought it was so fun to have there own drink and not have to share.

Allie's first plane ride, she did great she slept most of the way and was happy when she was awake.

So the plane ride was great!! The best airport experince I have ever had. When we got to the airport there was no one there we walked right up and checked our bags and then walked right through security.  They even unfolded my stroller for me.  Then on the plan the kids were great and a few times when they got a little cranky and would not listen the lady sitting behind us stood up and helped me out.

Aren't they cute!!!!!

We went to work with Ira for his going away award ceremony.  No one wanted him to leave and they all thank me for putting up with him coming home late every now and again.  It was nice to see Ira getting praised for all of the hard work that he had done.

Saying good by.  Our friends Dave and Chantel Keller  gave us a going away party.  It was great fun.  The kids played the adults talked and in the end I cried, of course.  Anna even got a going away gift from her friend.   We will miss our friends in Maryland, but are excited to start our new adventure in life and make more friends.
